19/07/2009 - Eleven years of MONS LVNÆ... the band celebrates today it's eleventh year of existence. Since the departure of drummer João Monteiro (which left the band due to health issues), MONS LVNÆ decided to take some time of the stage to focus on writing new songs. The band is fully active and expects to release new songs on the beginning of 2010, if not sooner. As always the band would like to thank to all who have being supporting all over the years. Many thanks, keep in touch, keep rocking... 22/02/2009 - 2008 was with no dough one of the best years for the band in terms of live events, but 2009 started with the appearance of the band on the Portuguese legendary metal festival "Hard Metal Fest" and also an appearance along with Artworx in Lisbon. following these two events, MONS LVNÆ will now be playing again with Artworx in Lisbon in March, and with well known Portuguese Doom Metal band Desire plus Gwydion in April. MONS LVNÆ has also another concert scheduled for the next 26th of July in Loures. Besides of MONS LVNÆ, there will be another two bands playing. Time and exact place will be confirmed later on. 20/04/2008 - Once more along with Divine Lust, MONS LVNÆ is now headed to the City of Porto, best known as the Capital City of the North of Portugal and for producing probably the best wine in the world. the concert will be on the next 30th of May at Uptown Bar, for more details visit the agenda section. The main reason for such period of time was mostly the lack of time for building a new website. The website is not yet fully functional, and many of it's features are not present... with time we hope to bring more information and more media, and perhaps a different look. - Ten years of MONS LVNÆ... This last dawn, MONS LVNÆ has celebrated
it's tenth anniversary in a concert along with Gwydion. This show
took place at In Live Caffé (Moita) and counted with the presence of
lots of friend from both bands. Unfortunately, none of the former
members of MONS LVNÆ were present, but they were certainly
remembered for their contribution which still lives trough the sound
of the band even in the present days.
25/06/2008 - Major upgrades were made at this site, most notably
is the opening of the image section, with several pictures of the
band performing live on Morgana Fest II and Festival 7Rock. Our most
recognized appreciation goes to the three photographers who made
this work.

- MONS LVNÆ has won the semi-final of "4º Concurso de Bandas de Garagem
de Setúbal". This means that the band is going directly to the big
final of the contest, sharing the stage with the three other
finalists (not known by this moment). In an atypical concert, due to
the absence of guitar player Hugo Gomes who could not be present due
to personal reasons, the band still has managed to impress the
juries and won the first place on this semi-final. The big final
will be on 29th March (see

- With Morgana Fest II still fresh in mind (mostly remembered for
the introduction of the band's new drummer João Monteiro and the
departure of Gualter Charrua from the bass guitar) MONS LVNÆ will be
playing live again this next Saturday (8th March) in Setúbal (PT) on
the musical contest "4º Concurso de Bandas de Garagem de Setúbal"
